- Project to be run by Fair Game Australia in partnership with local community organisations, agencies and local government authorities
The State Government will help fund a scheme to provide second-hand sporting equipment for at-risk children and youth in underserviced communities in the Kimberley and Pilbara.
The funding will help in the delivery of the donated equipment which will aim to keep children fit and healthy while in social isolation.
Fair Game Australia will distribute the equipment and provide associated print and digital resources.
The main aim of the initiative is to help young people be physically active – while complying to social distancing measures – during the restrictions in place relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The State Government has contributed $10,000 to the program which will be run in partnership with local community organisations, agencies and local government authorities.
