REACT+ Workshop
The two day course will be facilitated by a team of experienced emergency physicians with extensive pre course materials including a USB of the course skills and drills being provided to each participant prior to attending. The REACT+ course includes medical emergencies, major trauma and cardiac arrest in children and adults as well as associated lifesaving procedural skills training. It is highly interactive and participants are predominantly involved in emergency skills stations and simulated scenarios.
Successful completion of REACT+ course is acceptable evidence towards meeting the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Emergency Department (ED) credentialing requirements (ED workshops component)
Please note: results of these assessments will be provided to WACHS Training for RPL.
Eligibility: Open to all Medical Practitioners. Priority of places will be offered to WA rural placed GP VMP’s and locums.
TOX Workshop
This one day workshop covers general and specific topics related to poisoning and local toxicology, using an interactive tutorial format concentrating on small group discussions of case scenarios.
Presented by leading specialists in their field, this course has been designed to offer practising rural medical practitioners an update in toxicological emergencies
Eligibility: Open to all Medical Practitioners and Nursing Practitioners. Priority of places will be offered to WA rural placed GP VMP’s and locums.
All confirmed participants will receive written confirmation via email of their place in this workshop approximately 6-4 weeks prior to the workshop with information and materials posted once confirmed a place.
