Step Up! Bystander Intervention Training Program – KARRATHA
The WA Centre for Rural Health invite you to attend the Step Up! Bystander Intervention Program. The Step UP! Bystander Intervention Program was delivered as an outcome of the Safe and Respectful Pilbara Project, developed by the WA Centre for Rural Health as part of the Vital Change programs led by WACOSS and funded by BHP.
This face-to-face training builds individual’s skills, confidence, and motivation to speak up and respond to disrespectful behaviour in their workplace and community and is being held during this year’s 16 Days in WA – Stop Violence Against Women campaign.
The goals of Step UP! are to:
- Raise awareness of helping behaviours
- Increase motivation to help
- Learn strategies and develop skills and confidence when responding to problems or concerns
- Ensure the safety and well-being of self and others
When: Tuesday, 6th December 2022
Where: Karratha Health Hub (opposite Red Dot) inside the Karratha City Shopping Centre
Time: 9:00am – 12:00 noon.
