Masterclass: Working with men who use violence | 18 May 2023 | Online webinar

When we work with men on an ethical and motivational level, we are more likely to support behavioural shifts by inviting change. When the worker focuses on building a relational process with men who use violence, we support their ability to sit with discomfort and work towards creating positive pathways for change.
This course utilises the state-based risk assessment tools, and has been developed in line with national competency CHCDFV007 – Work with users of violence to effect change and CHCDFV009 – Establish change promoting relationship with users of domestic and family violence.
Delivered virtually over two days, this Masterclass works to provide participants the skills to create an ethical space to engage men who use violence and also invite you to consider the fundamentals of risk assessment and risk management, perpetrator typologies, stages to homicide and interruption strategies, and how to provide optimal support.
