I-ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. I-ASIST provides a culturally relevant framework for participants to learn how to use a unique 6-task model to provide a suicide first-aid intervention, work with someone to develop a personalised safety plan to keep safe-for-now, and connect with further help. I-ASIST teaches participants to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide.
Although I-ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—I-ASIST can be learned and used by anyone.
