2023 Rowan’s Walk | Pilbara wide!

Rowans Walk is happening for the 6th year in a row to raise awareness and understanding for suicide prevention.
Rowans message:
Today we honour all precious lives lost to suicide
Today we remember
Today we walk together to give back hope to those suffering from mental health issues and suicidal ideation
Today we empower one another to reach out if there are factors in your life that are taking you to that dark place
Because your life is precious, you are irreplaceable and you are worth fighting for.
Hedland, Karratha, Paraburdoo & Newman are holding walks 11 August 2023 commencing 6.00am.
It will be a day for communities to come together, a day to promote mental health awareness and a day to give back hope.
If we can save just one life in that moment of despair then we are truly walking for the right reasons.
- KARRATHA – Dreamers Hill (Walking to the Red Earth Arts Precint BBQ area for guest speakers and a BBQ breakfast).
- NEWMAN – Radio Hill (Walking to the town square for guest speakers and breakfast).
- PORT HEDLAND – Redbank Bridge (The walk will be followed by a basketball competition at the JD Hardie Community Hub where multiple towns, young and old will battle it out on the courts to honour fallen ones lost to suicide.) Please register your teams to rowanswalk2018@yahoo.com
