Register now to attend our upcoming professional development webinar ‘Supporting the wellbeing of infants and children through a trauma-informed lens’ on Wednesday 2 March 2022 at 7:15 PM-8:30 PM (AEDT).
Infants and children are among some of the most vulnerable populations to be impacted by complex trauma. This webinar will cover the evidence behind how exposure to complex trauma adversely impacts the wellbeing of infants and children, as well as strategies practitioners can implement in their practice to work with children and families in a trauma-informed way.
Panellists will discuss how early intervention and prevention can benefit vulnerable children and their families, outline appropriate steps to recognise and respond to infants and children presenting with complex trauma, and offer tips and strategies to effectively start to talk with parents and caregivers about their child’s social and emotional wellbeing.
Hear from our interdisciplinary panel featuring:
• Dr Jasmine MacDonald (VIC – Senior Research Officer)
• Kathryn Lenton (TAS – Program Manager, Therapeutic Services Australian Childhood Foundation)
• Alma-Jane O’Donnell (SA – Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Specialist).
Facilitator: Chris Dolman (SA – Senior Workforce Development Officer).
