Importance of ‘place’ | Webinar

The Alliance has partnered with the Centre for Health in All Policies Research Translation (CHiAPRT) to convene a free webinar on the importance of ‘place’ and its influence on rural and remote health and wellbeing. The webinar will take place on 12 October 2023 from 3.00 to 4.30 pm (AEDT).

The Chief Executive of the Alliance, Susi Tegen, will be a speaker at the event.

The discussion will focus on the crucial role of ‘place’ as a cultural determinant of health and wellbeing. It will explore how the health system can actively contribute to creating supportive environments and places that foster opportunities to promote health and wellbeing among individuals residing in rural and remote locations.

The session aims to shed light on the challenges associated with living remotely, particularly in terms of accessing preventive services necessary for maintaining good health.
