DESCRIPTION:Course Summary\nLearn and share knowledge about innovative approaches to hepatitis C care across three priority settings. \nSynopsis\nThis one-day forum brings together Nurses\, NSP Frontline Workers\, and Peer Workers from around Australia to share their experiences\, strategies for success\, and innovative approaches to providing treatment to people living with hepatitis C in homelessness\, AOD (alcohol and other drugs)\, and mental health settings. \nEvent Description\nThe forum will be run as a series of keynote sessions\, lived experience sessions\, presentations on innovative approaches to providing hepatitis C treatment and care\, Q&A with speakers\, as well as a networking session focused on implementing different approaches to your setting. \nThis forum is for\nNurses\, NSP Frontline Workers\, and Peer Workers who are working in homelessness\, AOD\, and/or mental health settings. DESCRIPTION:Course Summary\nThis case discussion evening will be facilitated by Simon Hazeldine an experienced gastroenterologist with extensive expertise in hepatitis B\, and will take place via webinar. \nSynopsis\nIn this case discussion participants will discuss a range of Hepatitis B cases which will include different approaches to diagnosing\, treating and managing people living with hepatitis B. \nEvent Description\nThis interactive training provides HBV prescribers and other primary care clinicians with an interest HBV\, an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to practical cases spanning diagnosis to treatment initiation and ongoing monitoring. Case scenarios are developed by ASHM clinical advisors or local experts to meet the identified learning needs of ASHM’s HBV prescribers\, which vary from each State and Territory. \nAttendees are also encouraged to submit their own cases for discussion. DESCRIPTION:Older adults are at a higher risk of foot related health problems that increase their risk of falling. Foot health can affect an older adults’ posture\, stability\, balance\, and walking pattern\, influencing the risk of falls. A diagnosis of diabetes is a big risk factor to foot health\, with recent studies also linking peripheral neuropathy and falls. DESCRIPTION:Advance Care Planning is making plans that cover our care\, lifestyle\, health and finances for the last part of our lives. By working out what we want\, we get to have a say about our end of life as well as making things easier on those around us. \nWe have six free online Advance Care Planning workshops scheduled for the coming months. Each will cover information on what’s involved in Advance Care Planning\, how to get started\, and how to talk with your loved ones about your end-of-life wishes. These workshops are suitable for any community members regardless of age\, health or background. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Advance Care Planning to take part. And thanks to funding from the WA Department of Health\, these workshops are free for anyone living in WA. \nHow does it work? \nRegistration is essential and via Eventbrite. DESCRIPTION:The Mind Body Well Eating Disorder Masterclass series offers targeted professional development webinars for Allied Health and Medical practitioners who provide therapy for people experiencing eating and body image concerns and eating disorders. The sessions are suitable for all therapists regardless of experience\, however they will assume general knowledge of eating disorder diagnosis and treatment options. \nEach session will be presented by an experienced therapist from the Mind Body Well team\, or an invited guest – who will explore the topic through a Health at Every Size® lens\, reflecting inclusive and respectful therapeutic approaches which are both evidence based and client centred.\nThe Masterclasses will be conducted live online via Zoom\, and recordings will be available for viewing for one month following the session for those who are registered but unable to attend live. \nAN INTRODUCTION TO BODY DYSMORPHIC DISORDER\nLive session has passed – RECORDING AVAILABLE \nMasterclass #1 will provide an introduction to Body Dysmorphic disorder\, including assessment and differential diagnosis from other mental health concerns.
