Covering neonatal resuscitation\, ventilation\, chest compression\, endotracheal intubation and medications\, the workshop also considers ethical questions and how lessons learned can be implemented to improve care in a local setting. Information and teaching is delivered via seminars\, case studies\, practical hands-on sessions and also mega code scenarios involving the entire resuscitation team. \nEligibility: GP obstetricians\, medical practitioners and midwives. Having a Masters of Public Health Dr Ridley’s research focus is on substance use in rural areas\, psychiatry and substance use in palliative care\, and the impacts on female hormones on stimulant use. \nKelly enjoys teaching and is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Western Australia and more recently for the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Rural Health West CPD REACT workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills\, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing\, as required by WA Country Health Service.
