About the Speaker: Kelly is a Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist working at Albany WA Health Campus.
Her particular areas of interest are the interface between mental illness and substance use, particularly benzodiazepines, methamphetamine and cigarettes.
In 2017 she was the Australian and New Zealand Addiction Psychiatry Award winner and in 2019 the WACHS Rising Star award recipient. Having a Masters of Public Health Dr Ridley’s research focus is on substance use in rural areas, psychiatry and substance use in palliative care, and the impacts on female hormones on stimulant use.
Kelly enjoys teaching and is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Western Australia and more recently for the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia.
