Neonatal Stabilisation and Transport Readiness (NeoSTARs) I Port Hedland
This education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service.
Neonatal Stabilisation and Transport Readiness (NeoSTARs) is created and delivered by neonatologists and neonatal nurse educators and teaches current, up to date evidence-based approaches to neonatal stabilisation. Course attendance will help you and your team to understand and master the basic skills required in the care of any sick newborn. As well as technical skills, a high-performance team with strong supportive skills is necessary to deliver care in a safe and timely manner. This course will have a strong focus on advanced skills in crew resource management (team resources), communication and is recommended for a multidisciplinary audience.
This course is helping to support the quality of care provided during initial stages of newborn resuscitation and stabilisation which are essential to improve survival and long-term outcomes.
Eligibility: Paediatricians, GP obstetricians, medical practitioners and midwives. Priority is given to those working in the local region.
When: Friday 16 May 2025
Length: 8:00am-4:30pm
Cost: Doctors – $360, Midwives/Nurses – $240

2.5 Educational Activity, 4 Reviewing Performance hours with RACGP
5.5 Educational Activity and 6 Obstetric and Gynaecology MOPS hours with ACRRM
